I did my student teaching here and it was a wonderful school. There’s a great community built within the school and it is very inclusive. You can tell teachers truly care about their students and their success. It is a project based learning school as well so students can choose topics and learning targets they want to work on or need, which makes it more personalized to their individual needs or interests.

The students and staff were a joy to work with. One of the best “one-time” groups that I have worked with! They truly took pride in helping out the Garden.  Even though they came here expecting to help with invasive species removal, they adjusted quickly and easily to tiptoeing through the daffodils, making sure that every last one was deadheaded. Thank you for the opportunity to work with them.

Wow! In short, I am thoroughly impressed with the students' presentation skills and depth of knowledge in their chosen area of interest. Whatever you are doing over there is working very well and is evidently growing and flourishing with every term. As a parent I am so thankful to JDAL for everything they did to help my son graduate!!! 
If it wasn't for the staff at JDAL my son would not be where he is today, a soldier in the US ARMY.
The help that the staff provided got him through when both him and I didn't think he was going to make graduation because he was so far behind. I look back fondly on his time there and I know he considers the 3 years he spent there as some of both the hardest and most rewarding times in his school years. The difference the school and staff made is second to none!!!!

I thought Thursday’s Event Night was the best yet! The projects were all well presented and I spoke with lots of the students and they were prepared and engaging. I thought the quality of the projects have improved too. Hannah has really enjoyed this year. She continues to enjoy PBL. Thanks for all your hard work!!!
