Q&A

Is there tuition?

No, JDAL is a public charter school of the Green Bay Area Public School District. Yearly student fees apply for students who reside with the District and for non-resident students who open enroll during the DPI open enrollment window from February until the end of April each year. If you are a non-resident and enroll outside the Open Enrollment period, then there is a tuition charge.

What grades are at JDAL?

JDAL is for motivated, independent students in 6th-12th grade.

What does a day at JDAL look like?

JDAL is not set up like a standard school. There are daily schedules designed for each student for their own specific needs.

Can I still play sports?

Being a student a John Dewey, you get the best of both worlds! First, you are enrolled in a school where you take charge of your learning. Second, district students can participate in clubs and athletics at their resident school.
