In Our Voice (Holocaust Seminar)- Mandatory for 7th Graders (7th Grade Only)
Step back in time to learn about the Holocaust in a way that’s both respectful and meaningful for young learners. This class uses real stories, age-appropriate materials, and guided discussions to help students understand the impact of this tragic period in history. Through activities and reflections, students will learn about the importance of kindness, standing up for others, and how history can help us build a more caring world. Together, we’ll explore not only what happened but also how we can honor the lessons of the past to make positive choices today.

National History Day
In this seminar we will be approaching the topic: Rights and Responsibilities in History. Questions that should be addressed in the discussion portion of this task include: Who decides who has rights? Does everyone have the same rights? Who decides on the limits individuals should or should not have? Why? What led to establishing certain rights, and to whom were they given? How have people, governments, or institutions decided what parameters should be set to enforce responsibilities? How are such decisions justified? -How does this idea and these questions connect to the bigger world? Why should we care?
